Here was my set up for trading the Eurovision winning market.....Brother on one laptop with map of europe open and my laptop open with the market open.
My overall plan was to back countries that were close to the country giving the points out.......as easy as pie!
Made a tasty £90 for 20minutes work!
Same time next year me thinks!!
France were favourites @ around 2.7 before the start.....when i saw them sing i wondered why the hell where they! And the voters agreed!
Anywho off to play some backgammon (more like learn how to play, because betfair have recently added it to their arcade)
Very savvy!!
ReplyDeleteI knew Eurovision worked like that, I bet thats why Terry Wogan quit the commentary for it, he realised he could do the same as he got the results spot on 99% of the time!
Good luck with the flight training. I have done it over here in Bournemouth a couple of years ago and no luck on the job front - starting to trade now as an alternative!!
Could you post a link to my blog - just started my trading days!!

Cheers, Tim
Nice one Kieran! I had to slog for 3 hours for my 90 groats - I'll try it your way next time!!
ReplyDeleteNo problem Tim will do that now! Hope it all goes well for you. I remember the days of starting out massive learning curve but its worth it! My one tip to you would be protect your bank at all times and dont get caught chasing loses! I initially took a loss of £60 yesterday because of Jedward! But managed to scrape it back and turn it into green thankfully, so protect the bank and stay patient. Cheers re the flight training, flying over on Saturday to start it, going to have to put betfair to one side when im over there but will probably keep the blog going as i like to dabble on NBA in play. Touch wood the airlines start recruting again. Aer Lingus are just going to start their own cadetship so keep an eye on them.
ReplyDeleteCheers Mets. Nice quick scalping for the win! haha
Thanks for the trading tip, ill definitely try to do that.
ReplyDeleteI have applied to Aer Lingus but not had any reply, its been like that for almost every airline!
Had an interview with Ryanair and was accepted but did not make have enough to afford the type rating so had to decline! - Hence the trading!
Have you a PPL yet or are you doing it all in Florida?
I've done enough hours to do my PPL but i decided against doing it so im just going to do it out there to save some dosh!
ReplyDeleteIt must be a pain in the ass getting the cash together to keep everything current. Going to hopefully use this blog for my flying as well, probably won't get anywhere near the audience i get but it will be good to keep track of stuff im doing.
Hope the trading is going well, i've withdrew my last pennies from there last night :( but woke up this morning with £25 in there as i recommended my Dad ages ago! so will see what i can get that up to today.
Ill definitely be following your blog if you turn it to your flying blog.
ReplyDeleteTrading is going quite well (I am looking after my bank and up £55 over the first week).
Lots of crazy mistakes but good to see that I pulled the losses back on average.
Did you have any other job whilst trading? Also are you a premium Betfair customer?!
If you want to add me on msn my address is unistake@hotmail.co.uk to talk about flying or trading!
Enjoy the sunny US of A weather !
Hi info
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear someone will be reading!
Good man protect that bank!
I had a part-time job on the side just to tick my CV over more than anything. Nope i'm not a premium user, ain't up there with the big boys yet...i've never had a bank bigger than £400...i've always ended up withdrawing my profit to treat myself.
Will add you at some point mate.
Sorted out a video camera as well, so once i go solo im going to bring that up with me and takes some videos flying :)
